We don’t all have access to a fitness center or gym when we want to exercise. Sometimes going to the gym just is not convenient, or perhaps you would rather spend your time outside in the fresh air! Luckily, there are easy and efficient ways to exercise outdoors! As summer fades into fall, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful weather and get your exercise.

There are many different forms of exercise. At the gym, there are weight machines, cardio machines, aerobic step routines, free weights and more. For outside exercise, it is easier to find an exercise options that requires little to no equipment beyond your gym shoes.

Running & Walking

Running is the most common type of outdoor exercise. It does not require any extra equipment. It is great cardio. It releases endorphins to boost the runner’s mood, and it is a good way of toning your body in its entirety. It’s simply a great way to move! However, it is not the only option. A simple brisk walk has comparable benefits to running, without the stress on your joints! Going for a long walk or hike is a great form of outdoor exercise. A walk will tone your legs and elevate your mood.

Jump Roping

Another option that many don’t think of after elementary school is jump roping. Jump roping is a great form of cardio and works your calves and legs in a way that running or walking does not. Jump roping requires only one accessory, your jump rope! It is a fun way to get in a healthy aerobic exercise.

Implement Different Exercises

When you are going for a walk, try implementing lunges into your walk. Pick a certain distance to do lunges or a certain number of lunges to reach throughout your walk. You can also implement different exercises like high-kicks or high-knees to add a different dynamic to your walk. It may feel silly to do lunges, high-knees, and high-kicks on a public sidewalk, but it will be a great addition to your workout outside! People who may see you will be inspired by your motivation to exercise. Be confident and enjoy your workout!

Intervals

Intervals are another great way to work toward your fat burning goals. While walking, incorporate a short distance jog or sprint. You could even do 30 seconds of skipping to use different muscles.

It is still easy to get in your workout in outside! Take advantage of the nice weather while you can. To boost your weight loss, consider taking a supplement that includes Meratrim®. Meratrim® can help you reach your weight loss goals in as little as two weeks!
