Get Moving in the Morning!

Somedays there simply isn’t time in the evening! If you can get yourself motivated for morning workouts, you’ll be surprised by the results. You will have more energy, a boosted metabolism, and you’ll feel stronger all day! Plus, your evenings will be free for whatever activities come your way! We have helpful tips to help you get moving in the morning.


Get a good night’s sleep!

  • The first step to getting into routine morning workouts is getting a restful night’s sleep the night before. You don’t want to wake up feeling groggy before a workout. Develop a bedtime routine. Shut off all screens an hour before, don’t drink caffeine before bed, and give yourself some time to relax and wind down before climbing under your covers.

Stretch first.

  • When you wake up in the morning, give yourself a little time to start moving around and wake up your limbs. Do some simple morning stretches. Reach up and touch the sky. Reach down and touch your toes. Practice any of your favorite yoga poses. Stretching will get the blood moving through your body, bringing needed oxygen everyone, helping you wake up and feel more alert.

Eat breakfast.

  • You don’t need to eat a heavy meal for breakfast. Whip up a smoothie or scramble a couple eggs. Anything that is nutrient dense with some protein will help power you up and fuel you through the day.

Get moving!

  • Here’s where it starts to get challenging. It’s time to exercise! Don’t worry. After a goodnight’s sleep, a quick morning stretch, and a tasty breakfast, you’ll be ready to for a great, fat-burning workout. Whether you choose to work out at home or the gym, you’ll be energized and ready to get moving.
