Rather than let salad dressing derail your healthy diet, try swapping in a more wholesome topping. Add a few spoonfuls of fresh salsa for a burst of flavor without the extra fat.

French fries are a tasty snack or side dish, but they’re usually made with white potatoes, which can cause insulin levels to spike. Try making your own homemade fries using sweet potatoes instead. Cut sweet potatoes into sticks or rounds, give them a light coating of olive oil, and add a dash of your favorite seasonings before baking in the oven.
