Switch Up Your Guac! 5 Different Avocado Dips to Try

We all love guacamole, but mostly we all love avocado. Avocado is a great source of nutrients and healthy fats that our bodies need. Being able to incorporate avocado in many different dips will be a great way to switch up the typical go-to guacamole dip, while still making healthy choices! Here are four unique and tasty recipes!

Avocado & Feta Dip

 

1 avocado, peeled and diced

2 scallions, chopped

3-5 oz feta cheese, depending on your personal tastes

1 lemon - juiced

1 handful of parsley

Add pepper to taste.


Put avocado, scallions, lemon juice, and parsley in a food processor.

Pulse until dip is at desired consistency.

Add pepper to taste.

Garnish dip with parsley and pepper and feta.

Serve with chips or vegetables!



Avocado & Herb Dip


1 avocado, peeled and pitted

1 Tbsp mayonnaise

2 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt

2 Tbsp mixed herbs (dill and chives, or anything that you would enjoy)

1 lemon, juiced

Add salt to taste.


Put all ingredients, except salt, in a food processor and pulse until smooth.

Add the salt to taste.

Serve with raw veggies!



Avocado Citrus Dip


1 avocado, peeled and pitted

¾ cup orange juice (no added sugar)

¼ cup lemon juice

¼ cup lime juice

1 handful of cilantro (or however much you’d like)

3 scallions, chopped

Add honey to taste.


Put ingredients, except salt and pepper, in a food processor and pulse until smooth.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with scallions and peels from the lemon and orange.

Serve with fresh vegetables, like carrots and celery!



Avocado & Basil Dip


1 avocado, peeled and pitted

¼ cup sunflower seeds (unsalted)

1 clove garlic

1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

½ tsp sea salt

2 cups fresh basil (washed)

1 lemon, juiced

¼ tsp black pepper


Put all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.

Garnish with basil, pepper, and a few sunflower seeds.

Serve with fresh vegetables!


Spicy Avocado Dip


2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted

¼ cup cilantro leaves

¼ cup lime juice

1 ½ Tbsp pure olive oil

1 garlic clove

½ tsp wasabi


Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.

Serve with an assortment of fresh vegetables!
